Phoenix Information Philosophy
It has often been said that for many people the world changed on Sept 11th 2001. Phoenix Global Information Systems believes that the events of Sept 11th demonstrated that the way that we think about and act against security threats has to change. Traditional responses to security threats, rooted in the Cold War doctrine of International Relations, with clearly defined enemies, no longer hold true. We do not face the enemy across the trenches and battlefields of traditional warfare.
During the last century, nuclear arsenals, aircraft carriers, fully equipped armies and missile shields provided governments and their people with a sense of security. But this sense of security has proven to be an illusion. The enemy now hits the public as they sit in their offices, as they watch a play in the theatre, as they dance at a nightclub or as they commute to work. The unseen enemy has intruded into the daily lives of people all over the world. No single country, government or leader can claim to guarantee the security of its citizens through military defence. Even the old ways of collecting and acting upon intelligence have proven fatally flawed. The events of September 11th 2001 and continuing global insecurity serve to underscore that fact. Current security threats are global in nature. International cooperation to face those threats can never meet them head on, as national and political pressures will come into play. What is needed, therefore, is a truly global and independent approach to these global security issues.
Phoenix Global Information Systems was formed to meet these challenges of the new millennium. It is comprised of talented, visionary and dedicated individuals from around the globe who have come together with common cause. Embracing the forces of globalisation and technology, we embody the very spirit that the enemy seeks to destroy. Unrestrained by nationality and not beholden to political leaders, Phoenix Global Information Systems represents the future of global security provision
